Job Description Summary

The College of Business at Husson University is looking for part-time course writers / designers to develop courses for the B.S. Software Development degree. The courses will be designed for delivery over a seven week period through Canvas.
Topics for course development include:
• Introduction to Computer Programming
• Algorithm & Data Structures
• Systems Analysis & Design
• Database Design
• Project Management Techniques
• Project Development
• Data Science
• Programming in Java
• Python
• Android Development
• Swift OS
• Gamification
Experience in higher education teaching or course design is required.
Experience with an online Learning Management System is required; familiarity with Canvas is preferred
Master’s degree is required.
Experience in IT related work is preferred.
Certifications in Software Development related areas preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

Writers/ Designers will work with the Director of Online Learning, faculty content experts, and course designers from an online partner. They will be supplied with a standardized syllabi and outcomes. Writers/ Designers will also be provided with necessary training and supportive supervision to help them succeed.

Education and Experience

A master’s degree in business or IT, or related field is required; Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred.
Microsoft Office certifications or other relevant software design certifications are preferred.
College-level teaching experience or instructional design is required.
Experience with an online Learning Management System (LMS) is required; Familiarity with Canvas is preferred.
