Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary

A research assistant position is available in Dr. Li’s lab, starting from March 2018, to work on an USDA-funded project to study the role of the broccoli sprout bioactives and the gut microbiome in the suppression of colon tumorigenesis. This position involves working in the lab conducting in vitro cell culture, sample preparation for bioanalysis, and mouse experiments. Research assistants work throughout the academic year and summer employment is also available.

Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conducting in vitro and in vivo experiments, assisting in experiments, ordering supply and reagents
Maintaining laboratory research records of all experiments performed, assisting in data analysis, preparation of reports, presentations and publications

Education and Experience

Basic Qualifications:
Sophomore, junior, senior undergraduate, or bachelor’s degree or equivalent in nutrition/life science related field.
Highly motivated and committed.
Reliable, responsible, and dependable
